Who Will Be Caring For Me? Critical Health Systems of North Carolina is a group of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists who specialize in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and pain management in two hospitals: Rex Healthcare and Raleigh Community Hospital and two Carolina Pain Consultants pain clinics in North Carolina. Critical Health Systems of North Carolina's Raleigh Practice Center physicians are available as primary consultants in all intensive care (critical care) units at Rex Hospital and Raleigh Community Hospital. | Nurse Anesthetists A nurse anesthetist is a registered nurse who has taken one or more years of formal anesthesia education after finishing nursing school and has completed a state certification exam. The nurse anesthetist will work under the direction and supervision of an Anesthesiologist. Many certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) have earned a Master's of Science in Nursing. CHS of NC, Raleigh Practice Center is proud to support the graduate level programs of the Raleigh School of Anesthesia of Nurse Anesthesia, which has been named one of the top ten programs nationwide. |
Dr. Blank graduated from
Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received his medical degree from
Cornell University in New York, New York. He served his residency in anesthesiology at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served a fellowship in
pain management and pediatric anesthesia at Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts.

Healthcare in Raleigh.
